Editorial policy
How we research, write, and review the content on this site.
How each form guide is written
Every form's guide is built around that specific form's actual sections, not a generic template applied across every page. We read the real PDF, identify its actual fields and sections, and write the guide to match exactly what a person will see when they open that form.
Where the content comes from
Form descriptions, section guides, and common-mistake notes are written based on the official ACORD form itself and general industry knowledge of how these forms are used. See our data sources page for more detail on sourcing.
Review and update cadence
Forms are checked against ACORD's published revision dates on an ongoing basis. When ACORD releases a new revision of a form, we update the corresponding page and its listed revision date. Each form page displays when it was last reviewed.
What this content is not
Nothing on this site is legal, insurance, or professional advice. It's a plain, factual explanation of what a form asks for. For guidance on your specific situation, a licensed insurance agent, broker, or attorney is the right resource.
